Virus/Spyware Removal
We perform a mimimum of 4 scans with different utilities to ensure complete removal of infections.  Many spyware infections have the ability to "hide" and rename themselves so it is important to rescan even when the problem appears to be resolved.  We also install and configure protection against future infections.
 
Upgrades 
Need additional memory (RAM) or a new hard drive?  We ensure your system is compatible with the desired upgrade and configure it for optimal performance.  Not sure an upgrade is worth the cost?  Although there are exceptions, if the cost of hardware and/or software and labor exceeds the cost of a new PC and setup, we advise against upgrading.  Please note we do NOT sell new PCs!  We can assist in the selection and purchase, but do not profit from the sale of any hardware or software.
 
Data Recovery
Accidently delete a file or format a drive?  The most common cause of needing data recovery is the use of a manufacturer's system restore feature which wipes out all existing data!  We can usually recover most, if not all, of your critcal data including pictures and multimedia files.
 
Trouble-shooting and Tuneups
System not starting up or getting repeated error messages?  Does your PC appear to be running slow and taking a long time to open applications and files?  We can optimize your system and show you how to keep it running smoothly.
 
Networking
We can set up your wired and/or wireless network, configure encryption or resolve an existing connectivity issue.  Want to print to a specific printer from any PC?  We can set your printer up as a network printer connected directly to the router instead of a PC.
 
Web Site Design
We offer basic web site design services for those wishing to have a personal or business web site.  This service is primarily intended to get a web site up and running for those who wish to maintain the site themselves.  There are several hosting sites that provide very reasonable rates and include editing programs to easily design and edit your web pages.
 
System Setup 
We will set up your new system, optimize it, connect to your network, configure printers, configure email, configure protection against viruses and spyware and orient you on new and/or added features.
We also transfer your data from an old PC to the new PC and install up to 3 applications that were on the old PC.  Please note that some older hardware and software may not work with newer operating systems.  If you have not yet purchased a new PC and want to know if existing hardware and software will work on a new system, please call and we can direct you to the appropriate tool to advise you. 
If you are switching from an older version of Windows to Windows Vista, we can show you how to utilize Vista's new features or disable them if you prefer.

Remote Assistance

Many issues can be resolved over the phone or with remote control.  Our remote control application is 100% secure and requires your permission to access your PC.  Each remote session is unique and permissions expire at the end of the session.  See Help Request for more details.

Training

We can provide training tailored to your needs.  Whether it be basic Windows navigation and maintenance to advanced use of Office applications or other programs, we show you what you need to know.  Training sessions are relatively short and address a specific topic.  We avoid "Too much, too fast" sessions that try to address too many topics and result in very little retention.
